This position will take a leadership role in creating and directing the implementation of marketing communication strategies.  The incumbent will lead and manage the development of an annual marketing communications plan including trade show, media, advertising, web site, brochure and other collateral materials. Provide direction and strategy on projects allocated to contracted external advertising agency to develop overall RTD positioning. Work with the geographies to assist with their implementation of tactical programs and compliance with company standards. Oversee the marketing communications approval process. Manage and monitor projects to ensure deliverables are met and budgets are not exceeded. Manage the development of direct reports reports as required.


 


Leading the planning, development and execution of major business segments’ external marketing communication plans. With Business Unit Leaders, determine key issues and markets for each Business Unit and most effective means of penetration


Directing the responses to prospective client proposal requests (RFP’s) and enhancing the proposal process


Developing and/or revising collateral materials for the various business segments


Delivering marketing leadership, brand management and product direction


Conceptualizing, developing and executing all aspects of a marketing plan including product positioning, product life cycles, etc.


Responsible for the development and execution of marketing communications and branding strategies


Analyzing market trends and developing PR strategies


Executing regular marketing and sales campaigns


Preparing and administering marketing budget


Managing marketing staff


Management of product and marketing information to be placed on the company web site Responsible for all promotion activities


Developing and implementing marketing communication programs


Hands on graphic design and production


Assisting the geographies in marketing communication projects


 


Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.


 


May perform other duties as required or assigned.


 


Formal Training/Education:


Must have a BA or BS degree ideally in Marketing or similar area from an accredited four-year college or university.  Masters degree preferred.


 


Experience:


10 years relevant experience in positions with increasing management and leadership responsibilities.  5+ years graphics or marketing communications experience, including experience leading a team and managing a marketing budget.


.  Experience in biotech, medical device or biomedical industry preferred.


 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


 


Must have experience leading RFP response process.


Prior brand marketing experience in a biotech/medical device industry at director level or above


Prior experience directing the development of advertising and media plans across a variety of mediums. (Includes writing creative briefs, reviewing creative and providing feedback/direction, selecting photographers/directors, planning and executing photo shoots, overseeing creative production and timelines, agency management, approval and oversight for media budgets.)


Proven track record of developing and executing communication plans.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Strong organizational, project management and detail orientation skills, with the ability to multi-task


Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced professional environment


High degree of energy and enthusiasm


Possess a can-do positive attitude, out-going, pro-active, team-oriented


Displays initiative and readily accepts responsibility
